Well the result is in and the news is not too good. I was originally told I needed to get my cholesterol level down to below 5.0 and it’s 5.34, which is down a little from what it was, but not enough that the doctor does not need to see me to discuss the future ! I have an appointment next week.

I have to admit that when I received the news yesterday afternoon I was disappointed, I thought the changes I’d made and weight I’d lost would have been enough, but I sat and thought about it last night and decided that things weren’t really so bad after all. I have made good progress and what needs to be remembered, is that the Clean 9 program does not profess to lower cholesterol, only detox, lose weight and help you change your lifestyle. Perhaps I was hoping for too much with the cholesterol, or perhaps my change in lifestyle needs longer?

In terms of actual results, let’s look at where I started and where I am now. On February 28th I was 55 years old, 20 to 28 pounds over weight, struggling to control my blood sugar and a couch potato always tired and lethargic with no energy and a high cholesterol level.

A rowing machine could be just what you are looking for if you want to tone your body and look fantastic in the shortest time possible. It is a very effective piece of equipment which can be used for great results.

For an all out cardio routine that will blast all your muscles you cant beat a rowing machine. Nothing, with the exception of swimming, comes close to working your entire body and therefore the results are seen all over your body.

Well the day for my blood test has arrived and on weighing this morning before heading off to the doctors, I was 183 pounds, or 13 stones 1 pound. I haven’t quite achieved my target of 13 stones exactly, but I’m only a pound off. What this has proved to me is that the Clean 9 program set me off on the right path and by sticking to the principles after the initial 9 day program, I have still managed to lose more weight,…. more slowly, but overall I feel quite easily. I have more energy, I sleep better and I definitely feel healthier. It’s got me into a routine and it’s working.

I’ve had my blood test this morning, but won’t get the result until Tuesday afternoon. Whatever the result, I still feel that I have achieved something in losing the weight, but if my test comes back and my cholesterol level is acceptable, then I’ll have a double result, can’t wait until Tuesday to find out.

As for the diet, I’m going to carry on until I get to about 177 or 178 pounds, about 12 stones 9 or 10 and see how I feel. I can still grab a little bit flab in a couple of places, so I’ll try and trim them a bit, but I don’t want to be too “skinny”. My wife doesn’t want me to be either !

Many of us will like to look good with a flat midsection. But some of us who do not have one, feel let down and have low self esteem. A slim and muscled midsection looks real great. It looks greater even with well toned muscles all over your body. Do ad exercises regularly for great going abs and to get a great look!

There are a lot of acclaimed exercises. Choose an exercise which suits you best rather than fancying with unsuitable ones for you. Different exercises may work differently on different people. You have to pick it up with great care that it suits you. But your abs will be trained whatever exercise you may eventually choose. Only some exercises may prove beneficial to you among a list of many exercises. Be selective and choose it properly that it works well for you. But irrespective of all the exercises definitely your abs will be trained in the long run.

1.Stationary Bike Crunches- Crunches work wonders if done regularly as they train all the muscles of the abdomen region- rectus abdominals, lower abdominals and oblique abs. Do this exercise lying on the floor, back rounded and hands behind the neck to avoid straining yourself. Your upper abs will be engaged, and your lower abs will come into play as you lift your knees up to form a 90 degree angle. Just move the other knee to the center of your body while you move the opposite elbow to your knee. Alternate it for one full count each time.

Is there in truth a connection between childhood obesity and fast food? The answer will vary depending upon whom you ask. Evidently the fast food industry prefer to deny such a connection. But parents had best consider the facts. Obesity isn’t merely a problem of how a child looks. It also means many dangerous and often fatal health conditions. Being overweight is linked to bronchial asthma, arthritis, joint damage, cardiopathy, diabetes, types of cancer, urarthritis, sleep apnea, respiratory distress, and chronic pain. So, considering whether or not childhood obesity and fast food are linked can mean keepint a child’s health. Let’s consider this subject a bit closer.

One reason to consider that there is a link between childhood obesity and fast food is that obesity is a modern-day problem. Physicians have never observed as many cases of it in the past as they do now. It looks as if it’s no happenstance that we also have more fast food restaurants today than ever before! These restaurants are on just about every street corner in the U.S. They are even inside of many other businesses such as retail stores, libraries, office buildings, and even schools. But the number of restaurants and the number of cases of children being overweight does not itself prove that there’s a connection between childhood obesity and fast food.

Lap Band surgery has been hailed as being one of the easiest ways for a person to lose weight, but truth be told there are definitely some problems with the procedure. While these problems are not exactly endemic or typical of lap band surgeries, they are problems that can cause intense problems for the people that have undergone the surgery and for that reason are failures that people should know about before they actually go ahead and have the surgery done. The two most common failure of lap band would have to be migration errors and erosion errors.

The migration error is an error that takes place when the band that is being used actually ends up moving from one part of the stomach to another. The whole point of the lap band surgery is that when the band is inserted into the body, it can then be used to constrict the stomach and in doing so it can then be used by the person with the band to regulate the amount of food that they take in. However, the band is operating in an area of the body that does not have a large amount of friction and for that reason the natural movements of the human body over time can cause the band to move from one part of the stomach to another or even get dislodged from the stomach entirely in severe cases. This not only completely cancels the effectiveness of the band, but it also means that another operation needs to be scheduled in order for the doctor to go in and replace the band or maybe even remove it entirely if that is what the patient now wants.
